Job summary

TeamWorx Security is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and data products for a federal government client. You will work with senior engineers, data scientists, and government stakeholders to bring data in from source systems, clean and validate it, and deliver reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of data engineering, data analysis, or related technical experience.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with notebooks, PySpark or Spark SQL, and Delta tables.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and support data pipelines in Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Validate data against sources, fix quality issues, and document pipelines, table definitions, and business rules.
• Take ownership of assigned work through delivery and production support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and senior engineers to clarify requirements and adopt new tools as needed.
