Job summary

Chenega Services & FederalSolutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain cloud-based data pipelines, data stores, and analytics-ready datasets.

You will design scalable ETL/ELT workflows, structure storage architectures, and ensure data quality across sources while collaborating with analysts, product teams, and developers to support reporting, modeling, and visualization needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Data Warehouse development.
• Experience with data analysis of aggregated data from multiple sources in cloud-based environments.
• Experience developing scalable data stores that supply big data for business analysis.
• Experience with SQL and Python for retrieving, parsing, and processing data.
• Experience developing scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics in cloud environments.
• Experience with Cloudera or Hadoop technologies.
• Experience leveraging generative AI coding tools to assist in development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting data from multiple cloud-based sources.
• Assist in building data storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses) for large-scale analytics.
• Assist in backend SQL and NoSQL testing, data validation, and troubleshooting ingestion or schema issues.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and pipeline specs.
• Develop scripts and automation to transform diverse data types for analytics and visualization.
