Job summary

Chenega Services & FederalSolutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise-grade data platforms. You will build data warehouses and lakehouses, ingest large datasets from APIs and relational sources, and ensure data quality and governance across analytics workflows.

You will collaborate with cloud engineers and data scientists to deliver secure, scalable data solutions on Azure, Databricks, and related technologies while supporting

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or related fields
• 6+ years with Python and SQL building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• 2+ years with Azure Data Factory or equivalent cloud data services
• 1+ years with modern data processing frameworks like Databricks
• Experience integrating data from APIs, files, and relational sources
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and schema design
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in enterprise data environments
• Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
• Build and optimize data models, warehouses, and lakehouse environments (e.g., Databricks)
• Ingest, clean, validate, and transform large-scale datasets from APIs and data sources
• Establish data quality, metadata management, and governance controls
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to deploy data solutions on Azure
• Monitor and improve pipeline performance with logging, alerts, and CI/CD
• Document data architecture and pipeline logic to support team collaboration
