Job summary

Wider Circle is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines in AWS, primarily with Redshift and Python-based workflows. You will partner with analytics and data science to ensure data quality, enable reporting, and support AI integrations.

You’ll migrate legacy workflows, enhance observability, and ship production code in a fully remote team focused on data-driven impact across health-focused programs.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with data warehousing in mind.
• Hands-on AWS (S3, IAM, Redshift) experience.
• Experience building production data pipelines and monitoring.
• Experience with APIs for data ingestion and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Ingest data from S3, APIs, Salesforce, and internal systems.
• Write performant SQL in Redshift and manage schemas and security.
• Partner with Analytics and Data Science to deliver clean, modeled datasets and support BI/reporting.
• Migrate legacy cron workflows to modern orchestration tools and ensure reliable, production-ready jobs.
• Integrate lightweight AI/LLM utilities into existing data workflows.
