Definitive Healthcare is seeking a Data Engineer to build, maintain, and support data pipelines powering healthcare data products. You will work across Claims and Consumer data domains to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery of data changes.

You’ll leverage Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and cloud platforms, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product teams. Driver of scalable, observable pipelines with modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of Data Engineering or related experience building and supporting production data solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in building production data pipelines.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark or similar distributed processing technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake.
• Experience with workflow orchestration such as Airflow or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, test, and support moderate‑complexity ETL/ELT pipelines and data components using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark.
• Own defined pipeline components from implementation through testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance problems; identify root causes and implement fixes.
