BairesDev is seeking an experienced Data Engineer specializing in Azure Databricks to design and maintain scalable data architectures within the Microsoft cloud. You will serve as a bridge between raw data sources and actionable insights, ensuring ingestion pipelines and storage systems are optimized for high‑performance analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in building data pipelines and ingestion systems on Azure Databricks.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation, cleaning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of Azure-native services and cloud data architecture.
• Hands-on experience supporting analytics and reporting workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines for large-scale ingestion and transformation using Azure Databricks.
• Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to convert raw data into structured formats suitable for downstream consumption.
• Build and manage data lakehouse architectures, ensuring data consistency and reliability across different storage layers.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define data requirements and develop models that support complex business queries.
• Monitor pipeline performance and proactively troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure the stability of the data platform.
• Apply data governance and quality controls to maintain high standards of data integrity and security across the Azure environment.
