Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Data Engineer specializing in Azure Databricks to design and maintain scalable data architecture in the Microsoft cloud. You will connect raw data sources to actionable insights and optimize ingestion pipelines for high-performance analytics and reporting.

You will collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define data requirements, build models, and ensure data integrity and security across the Azure environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise building data pipelines on Azure Databricks.
• Advanced SQL for transformation and optimization.
• Experience with Azure-native cloud data architecture and governance.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines for large-scale ingestion and transformation using Azure Databricks.
• Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to convert raw data into structured formats suitable for downstream consumption.
• Build and manage data lakehouse architectures, ensuring data consistency and reliability across different storage layers.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define data requirements and develop models that support complex business queries.
• Monitor pipeline performance and proactively troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure the stability of the data platform.
• Apply data governance and quality controls to maintain high standards of data integrity and security across the Azure environment.
