Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer, AI & Supply Chain for a 17+ months contract in California (Remote). Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, Dataproc, dbt, SQL, Python, and PySpark to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Architects, and engineering teams; implement data quality, governance, and cost-efficient processing; participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery, SQL, dbt.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and large datasets.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on GCP.
• Build and optimize data solutions using Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.
• Develop data models supporting reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Ingest, transform, validate, and publish data from multiple source systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, Data Architects, and engineers.
• Develop reusable data transformation components and adhere to engineering standards.
• Optimize processing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform data validation and production support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Document data flows and implementation details.
