Job summary

Hed is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Mission Critical team. You will lead integrated architecture and engineering efforts for data center projects, coordinating with clients, developers, authorities, and team members across disciplines.

Responsibilities include site planning, building system concepts, and documentation from schematic design through construction. Strong communication and Revit proficiency are essential; prior LEED is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and licensure required.
• LEED Accredited preferred, with a passion for sustainable and resilient design.
• Minimum eight years’ experience in the A/E industry required.
• Three or more years of experience with Data Center projects.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out.
• A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects of all design disciplines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work.
• Proficient in Revit and comfortable working with remote teams.
• Very detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage with a diverse project team including client, developers, authorities, architects and engineers.
• Oversee site and master planning development for entitlements and building design approvals.
• Develop building system concepts and documentation from schematic design through construction.
• Support scope and fee development during pursuits with Project Manager and Principal in Charge.
• Serve as team leader on large, complex, integrated architecture and engineering projects.
• Interface with sophisticated client teams and manage project milestones.
• Prepare and monitor discipline work plans; document code research for projects.
• Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
• Attend project meetings; review submittals and ensure quality within the team.
