Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a dependable Data Center Infrastructure Technician based in the United States. The role requires at least two years of hands-on experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or related field work and entails 75%–90% nationwide travel.

You will install and maintain rack-and-stack hardware, copper and fiber cabling, documentation, and runbooks, working in enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale environments while upholding safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or related field work.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, drawings, and runbooks.
• Comfort with extensive travel and field-based work.
• Must be based in the United States and able to work remotely with travel.

Responsibilities

• Install servers, switches, storage, patch panels, cable managers, and related infrastructure.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities in standard and high-density cabinets.
• Install, route, dress, label, and connect copper and fiber cabling.
• Maintain and update project trackers, runbooks, and completion checklists.
• Assist with remote engineers and smart-hands activities.
• Carry out remediation and rework of cabling as needed.
