Job summary

PlanIT Group seeks a Data Center Operations Director to lead large-scale data center programs, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and drive client satisfaction. You will supervise cross-functional teams across engineering, project management, field services, and supply chain, while shaping governance, risk, and Day 2 operations.

Qualified candidates bring 10–12 years of total experience, 8–10 in PM, and 4–5 years in program management, with PMP mandatory and PgMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering/IT/business preferable.
• PMP is required; PgMP or equivalent is preferred.
• 10–12 years total work experience with 8–10 years in PM and 4–5 years program mgmt.
• Experience leading multiple programs valued at $100M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale or large-scale data center programs.
• Develop multi-year program roadmaps aligned with client growth.
• Oversee PMs, field supervisors, and install teams; manage risk and quality.
• Own program governance, SOWs, pricing, and subcontractor relations.
• Drive Day 2 operations and post-installation support across sites.
• Mentor PMs and promote delivery methodologies and PMO standards.
• Partner with account management for scalable service offerings.
