Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Data Center Commissioning Project Engineer (Electrical) for a full-time, remote role with significant travel. You will lead commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems in data centers, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires 2+ years of commissioning experience, travel up to 75%, and a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Center Commissioning experience (Electrical/Mechanical).
• Willing to travel up to 75% for project work, training, and inter-office business (expenses paid).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Experience managing design/energy services commissioning projects within scope, fee, and schedule.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards such as ASHRAE, LEED.
• Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Data Center projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
• Perform construction observations, review contract documents, develop functional test plans and execute tests for mechanical and controls systems.
• Execute retro-commissioning engineering/energy studies and contribute to design/energy projects for large clients.
• Self-motivated and well-versed in Data Center projects touching on large building MEP systems.
