Job summary

MB Attorney Search LLC in the United States is seeking an experienced plaintiffs’ consumer class action attorney to join a Chicago-based practice with a strong emphasis on data breach litigation.

The attorney will work on nationwide data breach and privacy class actions, taking meaningful ownership of cases and leading substantial portions of matters with increasing independence based on experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of substantive litigation experience
• Meaningful plaintiff-side consumer protection class action experience
• Hands-on experience running class action matters or significant components of cases
• Strong legal research, persuasive writing, and substantive motion practice skills
• The judgment and initiative to develop strategy, identify next steps, and move cases forward
• Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Data breach and data privacy class action experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Investigating potential data breach and consumer protection cases and developing litigation strategy
• Drafting complaints, substantive motions, briefs, and settlement papers
• Managing discovery, deadlines, and significant components of complex class actions
• Working with clients, co-counsel, local counsel, and experts
• Participating in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Managing matters from filing through resolution with increasing independence based on experience
