Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Data Architect to support data-driven decision-making within the Risk Decision Group. The role is 100% remote and focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing analytic solutions for mission-critical applications using SQL, Tableau, and Python.

Strong data preparation, visualization, and automation experience is required. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EDW, performance tuning, and enterprise reporting, plus the ability to translate data into actionable

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Able to obtain and maintain T5/SSBI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS; 0 years with PhD.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience querying large datasets.
• Experience designing and optimizing database indexes for performance.
• Hands-on with Enterprise Data Warehouse development and support.
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical users.
• Experience creating SOPs and detailed documentation for workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Review execution plans and indexing strategies for performance.
• Ingest and correct data within an EDW.
• Develop data workflows and ETL using Tableau Prep and Python.
• Manage content, permissions, data sources, and performance in Tableau and SQL Server.
• Write complex SQL to extract and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with partners to understand data needs and deliver insights.
• Ensure data quality and governance across analytics environment.
• Automate recurring reporting tasks using Python or SQL-based solutions.
• Design and maintain advanced dashboards and reports in Tableau.
