BCforward is seeking a Data Engineer/Enterprise Architect II to work remotely in EST timings

Start Date: 1/5/2026- 6/30/2026 (potential extension)

Location: Remote EST timings only

The Enterprise Architect II serves as a senior technical and strategic leader responsible for aligning IT investments with strategy through enterprise-level architecture. This role leads architecture analysis, target-state design, tradeoff analysis, and investment strategy definition across complex, multi-system environments, with a strong emphasis on data platform modernization. The architect acts as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders, communicates architectural vision, and ensures consistency and alignment across programs and investments.

A core focus is Employee Benefits (EB) platform modernization, providing technical leadership in data architecture, cloud platforms, and integration technologies—particularly Snowflake and Informatica—while balancing feasibility, cost, governance, and organizational readiness.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead current-state and target-state enterprise/data architecture
  • Translate business needs into IT investment strategies and roadmaps
  • Drive architecture tradeoff analysis, cost estimation, and ROI discussions
  • Provide technical direction for data at rest, in motion, and consumption
  • Present architecture recommendations to executive and technical audiences
  • Act as a trusted advisor across business, data, and engineering teams
  • Resolve conflicts related to scope, platforms, and architectural approach
  • Support proofs of concept and modernization initiatives
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture governance and committees
Required Experience & Skills (Must-Haves)
  • 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect or senior individual contributor
  • Proven leadership in data-centric modernization programs
  • Employee Benefits domain experience
  • Hands-on expertise with:
  • Snowflake (implementation and value optimization)
  • Strong skills in:
  • Roadmapping and cost estimation (including cloud forecasts)
  • Executive-level communication and influence
  • Certification in TOGAF, FEA, Zachman, or similar EA framework
