Job summary

RegEd, a leading RegTech provider, seeks a senior Data Architect to own and evolve a cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients in a multi-tenant SaaS environment. You will guide metadata-driven data integration on Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Unity Catalog, and govern data with Purview.

Collaborate with data/platform engineers and product teams to translate requirements into scalable architectural patterns, manage pipelines, and ensure governance across a 30TB+ cloud data estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science and development.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integrations techniques.
• Experience with programming languages such as Phyton, R, and SQL.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and evolution of our cloud-native data platform.
• Lead the architecture of a metadata-driven data integration platform built on Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Unity Catalog.
• Work with data engineering, platform engineering, and product teams to design and deliver new features.
• Translate business requirements into durable architectural patterns, manage Azure Data Factory and Databricks pipelines.
• Drive the data governance model including Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview.
• Review client-provided documents to ensure they meet minimum requirements for development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
