Job summary

CAI is offering a Data Analyst Intern position, fully remote, for the summer. This full-time internship runs June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027, requiring 40 hours per week and core-hours availability (8:30 a.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST). All work is performed in the United States, and no sponsorship is provided.

You will support data analytics, cleansing, dashboard reporting and program quality review while gaining hands-on experience turning data into insights.

Qualifications

• Current Junior pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Economics, or related field.
• Coursework or project experience involving data analysis, statistics, or research methods.
• Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data cleaning.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and joining relational data.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for dashboards and visualizations.
• Comfort working with large datasets and basic data cleaning techniques.
• Understanding of data structures and data flow between systems.
• Ability to translate raw data into clear summaries for non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world work experience in a corporate environment.
• Support data analytics, data cleansing, dashboard reporting, and data quality review.
• Collaborate with interns on a community outreach project.
• Engage with CAI leaders through the Executive Connections Program.
• Participate in public speaking opportunities and internal events.
• Assist with data analytics and reporting in health and human services program areas.
• Conduct research related to data analytics and business functions.
• Organize tasks in a logical and cohesive manner.
• Apply understanding of social services where applicable.
• Write professional communications and documentation.
• Work independently with guidance from senior staff.
