Nix is seeking a Middle Data Analytics Engineer to build reusable, production-grade pipelines powering large-scale curated training sets for AI labs. You will ship engineering solutions with immediate revenue impact and collaborate with some of the world’s largest AI companies.

You will work with BD, data experts, and engineering teams to map requirements, optimize SQL, and develop scalable DBT models on Snowflake.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL with query optimization and Snowflake experience.
• DBT experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 3-5 years of analytics/data engineering experience.
• Perform code reviews and collaborate to optimize the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Work with the BD, content experts, data science, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and metadata.
• Map customer requirements to existing metadata and apply data modelling to maximize reusability and scalability.
• Build DBT models that can query up to 1B rows efficiently.
• Refine DBT models based on visual QA for accurate datasets at scale.
• Propose and implement automated solutions that streamline curation and increase scalability.
• Serve as engineering point of contact, coordinating with BD to ensure timelines and requirements are met.
• Assist expansion of data curation workflow to accommodate data science approaches within DBT, and enhance testing.
