Job summary

Sledge is hiring a Data/Analytics Engineer to build the data infrastructure behind Sledge's product and business decisions: event tracking, a pipeline, a warehouse, and dashboards that actually answer questions. This role reports to Sledge's engineering team and operates inside a strict data boundary.

We seek hands-on experience with data pipelines, a production data model in PostgreSQL, and the ability to deliver actionable insights while keeping sensitive data in-house.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and a data warehouse from scratch.
• Experience with event tracking and product analytics tools such as GA4, Segment, PostHog.
• Strong PostgreSQL production data modeling.
• Ability to enforce a strict data boundary and prevent leakage of sensitive data.
• Ability to build dashboards and reports for non-technical users.
• Willingness to move at startup speed with evolving data volume.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain event tracking across Sledge's product.
• Build and maintain a data pipeline and warehouse for Sledge's data.
• Create dashboards and reports to help founders make decisions.
• Keep GA4 and other analytics tools within the data boundary.
• Ensure sensitive data remains in Sledge's infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering to instrument new features rather than retrofitting.
