Job summary

saas.group is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Central Data & BI Team. This hands-on role focuses on SQL and dbt work, building data models, and creating dashboards to support the portfolio of SaaS companies. You’ll collaborate with leadership, Finance, and acquisitions teams on data-driven decisions.

We value independent ownership, critical thinking, and strong English communication. This is a fully remote, international position with a flexible schedule and a collaborative, low-bureaucracy

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hands-on data roles where SQL was the main tool.
• Experience building data models with dbt or a similar code-based workflow.
• Clear, direct communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on daily use of AI tools in data work with validation of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own requests end to end: clarify the question, assess the source data, investigate logic, build or change models, validate results, and explain implications.
• Build and maintain production dbt models for billing, subscriptions, customers, recurring revenue, retention, and related SaaS metrics.
• Build and maintain Metabase dashboards, reusable questions, and recurring reporting alongside ad hoc analysis.
• Monitor data quality and freshness, reconcile figures, and trace discrepancies back to the source system.
• Maintain source integrations in Airbyte, including custom connectors, and onboard data from new acquisitions.
• Process unfamiliar datasets for due diligence on potential acquisitions under time pressure.
• Use AI tools as a normal part of development, review outputs, and protect sensitive data.
• Document definitions, behavior, limitations, and repeatable workflows.
