ELM Utility Services in Missoula, MT is seeking a Data Analyst to build reliable reporting and analytics solutions. You will work with SQL Server, SSMS, Power BI, and SSRS to deliver KPI-driven insights and scalable data processes.

The role supports data pipelines, basic ETL, and collaboration with operations to improve decision-making. Remote flexibility is available for the right candidate, with a strong emphasis on data quality and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, or related work.
• Experience building dashboards/reports in Power BI; DAX knowledge is a plus.
• Strong T-SQL skills; experience writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and SQL-based data pipelines.
• GIS experience (ArcGIS) and Python/R for analytics are nice-to-have.
• Cloud exposure (Azure) and SSRS experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Develop and sustain Power BI dashboards and operational reports.
• Support ETL/data pipelines, scheduled jobs, and data quality checks.
• Collaborate with operations and stakeholders to translate requirements into KPIs and reports.
• Explore GIS data and analytics to support business decisions.
