Job summary

Central Strategies, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Data Analyst to support U.S. Coast Guard programs by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data for operational reporting and decision-making.

You will develop dashboards and reports in Power BI, collaborate with federal stakeholders and technical teams, and ensure data quality and governance in a remote work setup. The ideal candidate holds a related degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in data analysis, strong Power BI skills, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of data analysis experience in a professional environment.
• Hands-on Power BI dashboard development experience.
• SQL proficiency with relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a federal or enterprise environment.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and semi-structured data to support program reporting and operational insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into analytics solutions.
• Clean, validate, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Develop recurring and ad-hoc reports to support leadership and program needs.
• Document data sources, assumptions, and analytical methodologies.
• Support data quality, governance, and standardization efforts.
• Assist with automation and optimization of reporting processes.
