Coterie Insurance in the United States is seeking a Data Analyst who translates complex data into clear business insights. You will work with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and insurance experts to turn metrics into action and shape strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes data quality, recurring reporting, ad hoc analyses, and forward-looking modeling, with a 100% remote setup and a focus on transparency and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Three or more years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying, joining, validating, and analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience building recurring reports, analytical datasets, and complex formulas using modern data tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and documentation.
• Strong critical-thinking, creative problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Experience working with insurance-related data, such as loss experience, premium production, underwriting or operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute directly to data transformation and modeling across data layers.
• Establish and evolve analytics best practices around metric definition, data integrity, and scalable solutions.
• Partner with subject matter experts across divisions to translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions and visualizations.
• Support other business areas through analysis focused on portfolio segmentation, loss experience, partner performance, underwriting, and renewal behaviors.
