Job summary

Cyborg Mobile is seeking a Data & AI Program Manager to lead NLP data strategy, annotation pipelines, and data quality initiatives for a Fortune 100 technology client. You will own end-to-end data lifecycle, collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and ML engineers, and drive improvements for NLP use cases and LLM fine-tuning.

The role is fully remote with preference for Washington candidates. This is a W2, full-time position, colocated with our client’s team and reporting to their manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in NLP data strategy, annotation program management, or a related data quality/linguistics role.
• Strong understanding of data annotation workflows, guideline design, and inter-annotator quality control.
• Familiarity with LLM training/fine-tuning pipelines and how annotated data feeds model evaluation.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate quality metrics into concrete improvement plans.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills — comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in large, matrixed corporate environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and user research to understand data needs across NLP applications.
• Define data specifications, scope, and sourcing strategy for each use case.
• Design guidelines for data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Deliver datasets, schemas, guidelines, and annotations meeting specifications.
• Manage end-to-end data annotation process.
• Analyze data quality metrics and turn findings into recommendations.
• Collaborate with client data engineers, scientists, and ML engineers to integrate data into production pipelines.
• Identify data gaps and propose new data sources and features.
• Communicate data vision and results to stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver data reports and demos in client-approved formats.
