Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, database admin, data architecture, or similar.
• PostgreSQL & SQL: strong skills, performance tuning, backup & recovery.
• Modern Data Stack: dbt and orchestration tools (Prefect/Airflow).
• Cloud: Azure or similar cloud, including networking/identity.
• Python: build/maintain pipelines and automation.
• CI/CD: automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• AI tooling: hands‑on experience with AI/LLM integrations.
• Security: RBAC, encryption, credential management.
• Communication: lead cross-functional groups and explain decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform roadmap and architecture, setting priorities across staff and partners.
• Design and maintain dbt models, semantic layer, and data quality tests.
• Administer PostgreSQL including performance, backup, recovery, and automated deployments.
• Manage security and access controls, encryption, and credential management.
• Chair Data Governance Committee with owners and stewards to keep definitions and data quality.
• Design and operate secure AI integrations and guide AI-native apps from prototype to production.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management
