Job summary

Texas Sports Academy is seeking D1 Athlete Youth Mentors to work remotely with student-athletes in the United States. You will split time between academic guidance and sports mentorship, mentoring one-on-one over video and leveraging your Division I athletic experience to guide training, focus, and the life of a student-athlete.

You will be the steady adult in their day, reinforcing standards, tracking progress, and providing feedback to both students and parents.

Qualifications

Division I athletic background is required and central to mentoring.
Experience working with kids in roles where you guided, coached, tutored or mentored is preferred.
Clear and steady communication on video; ability to provide useful updates in writing.
Punctual, dependable, and organized with ability to manage multiple student sessions.

Responsibilities

Guide students through their academic day via one-on-one video sessions, keeping them focused and progressing.
Mentor students as athletes, discussing mental game, training habits, recruitment realities, and balancing school with sport.
Build trusted relationships and provide accountability and honest feedback for both academics and athletics.
Assist students in navigating the learning platform, tackling difficult material, and developing study and time-management skills.
Enforce standards for effort, focus, and behavior; give constructive feedback and praise where due.
Communicate with parents and staff with clear progress updates on academic and athletic development.
