Job summary

NeoGenomics is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for our Cytogenetics Dry Lab in the United States. The role requires CG ASCP certification and entails handling diverse specimens, performing high complexity tests, and ensuring timely reporting.

You will work in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with opportunities for skill growth and ongoing training, in a culture focused on patient care and life-saving results. Shift: Tue–Sat, 9:00am–5:30pm, with potential changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or in chemical/physical/biological sciences with at least one year of lab experience.
• 1+ years of high complexity testing experience preferred.
• ASCP certification for the assigned specialty; state licensure as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory tests proficiently under general supervision.
• Maintains records so proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyzes specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Reviews and releases test results and reports STATs or critical results to the interpreting physician.
• Performs and documents QC on reagents, equipment and assays; communicates QC issues to supervisors.
• Documents corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specs.
