Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Defense Travel System (DTS) program. The role requires US citizenship, DoW clearance, and an active Cybersecurity cert (Security+ CE or CISSP). Remote but US-resident with strong communication skills and DoD-security background are essential.

Responsibilities include security analysis, tool compliance liaison with the PMO, and automating STIG checks and vulnerability workflows in Fortify and Nessus ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Active US citizenship and DoW 8140 cyber cert (Security+ CE or CISSP).
• Minimum 7+ years in cybersecurity, with DoD-like environment experience.
• Strong communication with senior government technical staff.
• Experience with RMF/NIST frameworks and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity requirements analysis and security systems engineering for DTS.
• Coordinate with DTS PMO and customer SMEs on tool compliance.
• Lead automation of STIG checks and vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Support 24x7 operations and rapid response to new compliance requirements.
