Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer in the Defense Sector to architect and enhance cyber capabilities across a large enterprise. You will manage vulnerabilities, strengthen endpoint defenses, and integrate security technologies.

Qualifications

2+ years of cybersecurity and vulnerability management experience
DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Must be able to pass DOJ background check to access FBI Campus in Clarksburg, WV
Active DoW Secret Clearance or ability to obtain DoW Interim Secret within 120 days from start date

Responsibilities

Oversee advanced cybersecurity protocols, risk management, and DoD-aligned compliance standards
Monitor system and network security to detect, analyze, and respond to threats; support incident response and digital forensics
Conduct routine vulnerability scans and track remediation efforts to closure
Research emerging threats and mitigation strategies; identify weaknesses and harden configurations
Audit systems to ensure compliance with security policies, STIGs, and baselines
Collaborate with teams and leadership to strengthen overall security posture of supported systems
