Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Consultant to assess risks, develop strategic recommendations, and help clients strengthen their cybersecurity posture across industries.

This fully remote, autonomous role offers flexible hours, a chance to work with diverse clients, and the opportunity to influence security programs with proven expertise in frameworks, risk management, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of information security consulting or a senior security role.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are essential.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop tailored cybersecurity strategies, policies, and roadmaps.
• Advise clients on implementing security controls and best practices for risk mitigation.
• Provide expertise in areas such as data privacy, cloud security, and incident response planning .
• Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to client stakeholders.
