Job summary

VSolvit, LLC seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist 4 in Ventura, CA or remote to oversee RMF steps 1-6, ensuring ATO deadlines and posture as the organization moves toward Zero Trust Architecture. You will monitor compliance, support SCCA/POA&M efforts, and enforce STIG controls across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires 2-4 years of cloud engineering experience with RMF, DoD eligibility for Top Secret clearance, and Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 2-4 years of cloud engineering experience with RMF activities and ATO deadlines.
• Security+ certification and DoD TS clearance eligibility.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• RMF lifecycle & compliance management for steps 1-6 and ATO tracking.
• Support SCCA/RT frameworks and ZTA transition in Azure Government.
• Provide status reports, checkpoints, and QA reviews of RMF packages.
• Maintain A&A status and manage POA&M for vulnerabilities.
• Ensure STIG compliance and routine patching across DoD guidelines.
• Coordinate security controls with DoD SRG and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
