Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Cybersecurity Software Engineer II to design and develop AI-powered security solutions for enterprise systems, applications, and data. You will apply modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and emerging AI frameworks to build secure, scalable tools that strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of software development experience, proficiency in Python and an OO language, and familiarity with cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 2+ years of software development or engineering experience
• Strong Python and at least one OO language (Java preferred)
• Experience with AI frameworks and cloud-native development
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases
• Knowledge of security and data handling in AI systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and version control
• Understanding of modern debugging, monitoring, and observability techniques
• Front-end basics for internal tools/dashboards

Responsibilities

• Deliver, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access controls
• Collaborate to configure and integrate security systems and respond to incidents
