Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Cyber Security Intern for the Raleigh, North Carolina location for summer 2027. The internship runs May 24 to July 30 and offers hands-on experience in protecting and defending IAT assets.

The role features a hybrid schedule with office Mondays-Wednesdays and optional remote Thursdays and Fridays. Projects include vulnerability data analysis, phishing campaign development, ethical hacking, security monitoring, and IAM.

Qualifications

• Must have: undergraduate rising Junior or rising Senior pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or MIS.
• Must be able to work out of Raleigh, NC office without housing/relocation assistance.
• Must complete the 10-week internship (May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027).
• Desire to learn about cyber security.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Track record of outstanding academic performance.
• Eagerness to contribute to a team environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Engage in analytical analysis of vulnerability data and phishing campaigns.
• Participate in Ethical Hacking and Security Monitoring projects.
• Assist Identity and Access Management and Cyber Strategy initiatives.
• Support data protection and privacy efforts as part of the internship.
