DICK’S Sporting Goods is offering a Cybersecurity and Digital Trust Intern role at our Pittsburgh Corporate Office. You’ll work on a strategic project during an 11-week summer, mentored by technology leaders, and present your results to the leadership team.

The program follows a hybrid schedule (in-office Tue–Thu, remote Mon and Fri) with exceptional professional development and networking opportunities, plus potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Graduation date in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Major in Cyber Security, Information Sciences & Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related.
• An interest and passion for cybersecurity and digital trust areas of focus.
• Strong verbal communication skills to read and write reports and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas clearly.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Engineering: Consult with technology and security staff to ensure security is factored into evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications, and software.
• Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support defined security policies.
• Provide technical expertise for the implementation and management of security tools such as EDR, PKI, enterprise firewalls, and secrets management.
• Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, & Incident Response: Monitor and analyze security event logs for applications and infrastructure to identify cybersecurity threats.
• Gather, analyze, and assess the current and future threat landscape for risk overview.
• Application/Platform Security: Utilize intelligence providers to gain insights into adversary tactics and planned activities.
• Participate in security incident response, including detection, containment, investigation, eradication, and recovery.
• Digital Fraud: Develop platforms to identify, assess, and prevent fraudulent omnichannel transactions.
