Job summary

Lyric is hiring an Information Security Intern to support the Security team across cloud environments, endpoints, and identity platforms. You will gain hands-on experience in cloud security, IAM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management while contributing to security projects in a healthcare tech setting.

The 12‑week internship is for students who have completed their third year in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related programs, with no prior professional information security

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Expected to have completed the third year of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship
• Academic coursework or demonstrated foundational knowledge in information security or cybersecurity
• Familiarity with fundamental cybersecurity concepts and networks, operating systems, and IT basics

Responsibilities

• Support the Security team in monitoring and maintaining security controls across AWS, Azure, networks and endpoints
• Assist with security information and event management (SIEM) activities and learn how detections are developed
• Gain exposure to endpoint security monitoring, IAM activities and security investigations
• Participate in vulnerability management and documentation of findings and next steps
• Contribute to documenting security standards, procedures, and runbooks
