Job summary

Lyric is seeking an Information Security Intern to support the Security team in protecting company systems, data, and customer information across cloud environments and endpoints. This 12-week internship targets students who have completed their third year in information security, cybersecurity, CS, or related programs.

You will gain hands-on experience in cloud security, IAM, endpoint security, monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, data protection, and security automation

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Expected to have completed the third year before the start of the internship.
• Foundational knowledge in information security or cybersecurity.
• Understanding of networks, operating systems, and IT concepts.
• Familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts: authentication, network security, vulnerability management, security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security controls across AWS, Azure, networks, and endpoints.
• Assist SIEM activities: review events, analyze logs, document findings.
• Support EDR monitoring and security investigations.
• Assist IAM activities including SSO, MFA, RBAC, and identity lifecycle management.
• Participate in vulnerability management lifecycle and remediation tracking.
• Document security standards, procedures, and runbooks.
• Learn cloud security and data protection in healthcare technology environments.
• Complete internship project and present findings to leadership.
