Job summary

DAS Health is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our remote security team focused on protecting PHI and healthcare systems. You will design and implement security controls across complex environments while ensuring HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and SOC 2 compliance.

The role involves configuring security tools, conducting risk assessments, and supporting incident response. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in healthcare or MSP settings and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, InfoSec, or related field.
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity engineering experience in healthcare or MSP environments.
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II audits and healthcare compliance (HIPAA/HITECH/HITRUST).
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architecture across healthcare systems, including EHR platforms and devices.
• Configure and manage security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, MFA, EDR).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to mitigate risks.
• Monitor, respond to, and investigate security incidents; perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and support breach investigations.
