Job summary

Dscout is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to embed security into our SaaS and internal IT environment. You will partner with software engineering to implement security controls, secure AWS resources, and improve logging and incident response.

The role emphasizes threat intelligence, policy development, and third-party risk reviews, with a remote-first setup and flexible benefits. A minimum of 3 years in security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting security reviews with developers and advising on risk.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 (web and AI).
• Experience securing AWS cloud environments and IaC (Terraform).
• Proven ability to implement Datadog for security monitoring.
• Experience responding to cyber attacks and data leakage.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIST standards preferred.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead security into the SDLC for the SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with Engineering to implement security controls for AWS resources.
• Continuously enhance security monitoring with SIEM and logging.
• Assess evolving threats and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Work with Engineering to contain and mitigate incidents.
• Perform vulnerability monitoring and remediation.
• Assist in security policy development and third-party reviews.
• Promote security-awareness programs.
