Qualifications

• Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree, certificate, or training program related to cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, operating systems, and security best practices.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to create professional reports and documentation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform asset inventory activities and establish a security baseline for a simulated client network.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and document findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Analyze attack vectors and relevant cyber threats impacting the simulated client environment.
• Implement and document approved system-hardening activities within a controlled environment.
• Participate in incident response exercises and create detailed incident reports.
• Perform security operations activities including alert triage and monitoring-system tuning.
• Collaborate with assigned mentors and technical staff to achieve weekly learning objectives.
