Qualifications

• Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or training in cybersecurity/IT.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, networking, OS, and best practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written reports and documentation.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to work remotely.
• Reliable hardware and internet connection to complete weekly deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform asset inventory to establish a security baseline for a simulated network.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and document findings with remediation recommendations.
• Analyze attack vectors and cyber threats affecting the simulated environment.
• Implement approved system-hardening activities in a controlled environment.
• Participate in incident response exercises and produce detailed reports.
• Support security operations including alert triage and monitoring tuning.
• Assist with governance, risk, and compliance initiatives and policy drafting.
• Develop and present a capstone security program summary for leadership.
• Attend daily standups and complete weekly written deliverables.
