Job summary

B&A is seeking a Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Cybersecurity A&A. This is a full-time, off-site/remote position. Anticipated Award: Sept/Oct 2026; Start: Oct 2026; 1 Base Year + 2 Options.

Note: Periodic travel to DLA locations may be required. Strong RMF/NIST C&A background and DoD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) experience.
• Advanced knowledge of the RMF and NIST C&A process.
• Experience with DoD or Federal Government cybersecurity programs.
• Experience assessing security controls and conducting authorization reviews for large, complex information systems.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a cybersecurity SME for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems and related policies.
• Executes DoW/DLA cybersecurity processes to authorize information systems and maintain authorizations.
• Understand how RMF/NIST controls apply to large orgs with enclaves, cloud, OT, AIS, and outsourced IT.
• Determine residual risk of identified vulnerabilities and implications for current/future authorization.
• Briefs senior management on RMF progress and RMF-related results.
