Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure compliant, efficient international trade operations across the Americas. You will oversee customs processes, certifications, and liaise with authorities, brokers, and service providers.

The role requires 4–7+ years in trade compliance, SAP GTS proficiency, and knowledge of FTAs. Collaboration with various stakeholders and continuous process improvements are key expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in international trade related field is required.
• Professional certification (LCB, CCS, CITP or similar) preferred.
• 4–7+ years in customs & trade compliance or related field.
• Proficiency in SAP GTS is required; version 11 or E4H preferred.
• Knowledge of import/export regs, classification, origin, and FTAs.
• Experience with customs broker oversight and audits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and trade compliance systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data validation skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and maintain compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import and export compliance activities and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with brokers, forwarders, and service providers for filings.
• Review broker performance and ensure procedures are followed.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for classification and origin.
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory inquiries.
