Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a Customer Success Manager to cultivate strong customer relationships post-sale, ensuring satisfaction, retention and loyalty. The CSM acts as advocate across the journey and works with cross-functional teams to meet customer goals.

Based remotely in Texas or Southern California, the role involves onboarding, training, account management, data analysis, issue resolution, and feedback to product and development teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing role such as Customer Success, Project Management, Partnership Management, or Account Management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, technology, or engineering.
• Empathy and initiative to do right by the customer.
• Strong project management skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites monthly.
• Data-driven approach to problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation skills.
• Experience with ticketing systems, workflows, tools, and processes for customer service.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with executive-facing experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.
• Familiarity with web applications and new technologies.
• Experience in non-SaaS or municipal/government contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture long-lasting customer relationships with transportation directors, maintenance staff, drivers, and operations teams.
• Guide onboarding, provide training, coordinate with dealers and OEMs for EV adoption.
• Proactively monitor relationships, identify issues, and develop remediation strategies.
• Tailor Highland’s services to meet customer needs.
• Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Act as liaison to resolve issues quickly and maintain satisfaction.
• Collect and relay customer feedback to Technology and Project Development teams.
• Collaborate with bus dealers, OEMs, and maintenance teams for efficient operations.
