Job summary

BTC Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to architect and build the data platform powering our next generation of products. You will own core data infrastructure design, set engineering standards, and lead the engineering organization reporting to the CEO.

You will shepherd a modern data stack (BigQuery or Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, BI) and ship data products that customers pay for, balancing product and commercial goals in a fast-paced, Bitcoin-focused company.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with leadership at startups or data-focused firms.
Architected and shipped a data platform powering revenue products.
Deep expertise in a modern data stack (BigQuery or Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran or Airbyte, and BI).

Responsibilities

Own the platform architecture for the data stack and unified data model.
Define the relationship between the consumer app and data platform and ensure scalable data flows.
Lead engineering standards, code review culture, on-call reliability, and hiring.
Ensure SOC 2 readiness, GDPR compliance, and data governance across the platform.
