Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Centralized Imaging Services CT Technologist - Days to operate remotely controlled CT imaging equipment from the PLC in Tamarac, FL. The role emphasizes patient safety, image quality, and adherence to imaging standards while collaborating with on-site staff.

Requirements include a radiologic technology program graduate, advanced CT training, ARRT CT and R certifications, and at least 1 year of CT experience. Onsite role with strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of advanced CT education or structured CT training program.
• One year CT imaging experience required.
• ARRT certification (CT) and state license.
• Experience with remote imaging technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remotely operates CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Apply ALARA principles and radiation safety practices at all times.
• Verify examination orders and confirm exam appropriateness before procedures.
• Monitor real-time image acquisition and modify protocols as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic adequacy before exam completion.
• Provide remote guidance on positioning, protocol selection, and workflow.
• Communicate with on-site teams to ensure safe, efficient examinations.
• Support contrast-enhanced exams with proper screening and collaboration with on-site staff.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Demonstrate CT safety knowledge and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in training, onboarding, and mentoring as assigned.
• Understand age-specific patient care requirements.
