RecLatam, on behalf of a U.S.-based law firm, is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Paralegal to provide comprehensive case-management and litigation support from intake through resolution.

The ideal candidate will manage court filings, calendars, discovery, and client communications with strong judgment, proactive planning, and excellent English communication skills. This remote, full-time role requires the ability to handle multiple matters efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting criminal matters from intake through case resolution.
• Experience with court filings, calendars, discovery, and client communications.
• Experience with U.S. court procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file initial motions and other documents for new matters.
• Draft and file motions as directed by attorneys.
• Monitor case progress and maintain accurate case information.
• File motions to withdraw and closing documents at conclusion of matters.
• Maintain and update attorney client/case lists.
• Coordinate and schedule client appointments.
• Communicate with clients about case status and hearings.
• Calendar court hearings, appointments, and deadlines.
• Track deadlines and upcoming case requirements.
• Review discovery materials for completeness.
• Organize and maintain discovery files.
• Coordinate and schedule defense interviews.
• Review CI-related matters for pending charges.
• Process and file incoming faxes and correspondence.
• Maintain physical and electronic case files.
