Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to join our remote team. You will advise on lender-side CRE financing transactions, with a focus on multifamily agency finance, and serve as a trusted legal advisor to deal teams and internal partners across origination, servicing, and asset management.

You will draft and negotiate loan documents, advise on title, surveys, zoning, and environmental matters, and stay current on GSE/FHA program requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of legal experience.
• Experience representing lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions secured by multifamily properties; borrower-side experience is valuable but lender-side preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of CRE loan documentation and related matters including title, surveys, zoning, environmental, insurance, post-closing covenants, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Advise on CRE financing transactions secured by multifamily properties, lender-side representation preferred.
• Draft, review, and negotiate CRE loan, servicing, and related documents.
• Counsel on title insurance, surveys, zoning, environmental matters, insurance, post-closing covenants, and reporting requirements.
• Support multifamily agency finance matters involving Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/HUD programs across origination, servicing, and asset management.
• Advise on GSE/FHA program requirements, Freddie Mac securitizations, sub-servicing obligations, and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with business, Risk, Compliance, Operations, internal and outside counsel on transactions and policies.
