Job summary

Rocket Software Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced Counsel to provide commercial legal services to Sales and cross-functional teams, structuring, drafting and negotiating complex IT and software agreements.

You will counsel business units on data protection, export controls, anti-corruption and regulatory compliance, partnering with management to manage risk and support growth. This role requires strong negotiation, independent judgment and ability to handle multiple high-stakes

Qualifications

• Law degree and bar admission in at least one US state.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex IT/software agreements.
• Strong understanding of data protection, export controls and anti-corruption laws.
• Experience in software/high-tech industries and international transactions.
• Ability to counsel across Sales and multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft and negotiate commercial agreements including direct sales, partner and distributor agreements.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to management and business units on applicable laws and regulations.
• Counsel on complex deal structures, IP issues and risk analysis.
• Monitor regulatory changes and embed compliance within the company.
