Job summary

A growing energy and infrastructure project management firm is seeking a Remote Cost Control Specialist to support financial management of transmission and renewable energy projects. This role focuses on budgets, forecasts, reports, and cost decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

The candidate should have 10+ years in cost control or project controls, strong analytical skills, and experience with energy, construction, or infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cost control, project controls, project management support, finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience with project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience working with multiple project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Prepare and update Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
• Perform monthly cost reporting and financial reviews with project teams and leadership.
• Monitor project expenditures and identify cost risks, variances, and potential mitigation strategies.
• Track vendor and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate project financial reporting.
• Support procurement activities, including supplier setup, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Manage invoice processing and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Partner with project managers, procurement teams, vendors, and financial stakeholders to maintain cost and budget alignment.
• Prepare financial analysis, reports, and ad-hoc cost information for management.
• Support project financial controls throughout development and construction.
