Eliassen Group is seeking a Cost Accountant to support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and month-end close activities. The role will maintain cost accounting processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive accurate inventory valuation and COGS reporting.

This contract role requires working on a W2 basis, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with company matching.

Competenze

• Cost accounting experience within inventory-focused environments.
• Proficiency with reconciliations across 3PLs and vendor shipments.
• Experience supporting month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ability to analyze COGS, margins, and product profitability.
• Familiarity with standard cost reviews and inventory valuation.
• Experience supporting system implementation, testing, and process design is preferred.
• Audit support experience and knowledge of internal controls.

Mansioni

• Maintain cost accounting calculations and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory balances and COGS accuracy.
• Perform standard cost reviews quarterly and advise on changes.
• Reconcile 3PLs, vendor shipments, and goods in transit.
• Support Inventory management system implementation, testing, and design.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations during close.
• Review financial statements and present fluctuation analyses to management.
• Analyze product costs, margins, and profitability.
• Assist FP&A with financial reports for senior management.
• Collaborate to drive process improvements for inventory valuation.
• Lead quarter/year-end audits and oversee cycle counts.
• Perform other duties as required.
